In this role, you will be responsible for:- Manages all disability-related claims, including WSIB and non-occupational cases, ensuring timely follow-up, legislative compliance, and alignment with County policies
- Coordinates and implements return-to-work plans, acting as the primary liaison with all stakeholders
- Collaborates with HR Business Partners and leaders to support accommodation, performance, and workforce planning initiatives
- Designs and delivers inclusive wellness programs to promote physical, psychological, and emotional well-being
- Provides education and coaching on health-related discussions, disability management, and mental health awareness
- Maintains detailed records and prepares reports on claims, absenteeism trends, and program effectiveness
- Contributes to the continuous improvement of disability, accommodation, and wellness processes and policies
What You Bring
Education and Commitment to Growth:- A bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Health Sciences, Social Sciences, or a related field
- Eligibility for or possession of certifications such as CDMP, CRTWC, or CVRP is an asset
- CHRP or CHRL designation preferred
- Minimum of 7 years’ progressive experience in disability management, including both occupational and non-occupational cases
- Experience in a unionized and/or public sector environment is preferred
- In-depth knowledge of Ontario legislation, including AODA, OHSA, WSIA, PHIPA, ESA, and the Human Rights Code
- Exceptional communication, empathy, problem-solving, and stakeholder engagement skill
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, HRIS, and disability case management system
- Strong project management and analytical skills
- A valid Class “G” Ontario driver’s license and access to a personal vehicle for work-related purposes
- Ability to provide a Ministry of Transportation Driver Abstract and Police Information Check
